Simaru True Care was born from the heartfelt journey of its founder, Shaona Imaru. Growing
up in a refugee camp, Shaona saw the challenges faced by individuals with
disabilities—those often overlooked and left without the support they needed. These early

experiences deeply shaped her and inspired her to advocate for those who need help the  most. When Shaona moved to Australia, she hoped to leave these challenges behind. But in 2020, she realized that many individuals with disabilities here were still facing barriers to the care they truly deserve.

This led her to create Simaru True Care—an organization where care is more than just a service; it’s a commitment to understanding and supporting each person, no matter their background. Shaona’s mission extended beyond Australia. Seeing the need in her home country, she launched a foundation in Congo to provide vital support for individuals with disabilities in areas with limited resources.

 This reflects her belief that everyone,  regardless of where they live, deserves to live with dignity and independence. We care because we understand. At Simaru True Care, we know the challenges of living without the support you need. That’s why we’re here—to offer more than just care,  but a partnership built on compassion, respect, and a shared understanding of what it means to be truly seen.
